NTT Solmare Corporation (Headquartered in Osaka, President: Hiroki Oohashi, hereinafter NTT Solmare), owns COMIC- C'moA (*1) -- Japan's No. 1 mobile comic sites, launches digital comic service in Indonesia.

1．Background and Objectives

Indonesia with a population of 240 million people maintains high rate of growth under global recession is expected further dramatic progress in various industrial fields and becomes one of the notable markets in the region. In addition, the number of Internet access increases more than the number of wired Internet access because Indonesia is comprised of 18,000 islands. It will bring application for mobile to make significant growth in foreseeable future. There, NTT Solmare decides to launch digital comic service in this country as a part of deploying global distribution.

2．Service summary

This time, comic contents are distributed to an e-book application embedded in a popular Android　tablet device in Indonesian market. We will launch service to Blackberry gaining enormous popularity there shortly and estimate to cover 95% of subscribers in Indonesia eventually.
7 titles to be launched as a start includes hit titles among Asia Pacific ”APPLESEED”, ”STOP!! HIBARIKUN!” and “Cat Eyed Girl”. We are planning to increase the number of titles sequentially.

3. Future Vision

NTT Solmare will continue to raise the awareness of the amazing Japanese contents in Indonesia. Utilizing our experience of domestic success and contents source, we will consider opportunities to expand and promote the MANGA on Mobile service into other countries.
